Choose a Domain name if you don’t already have one. You can purchase a domain name from Namecheap which is cheaper for some .

IF YOU HAVE A DOMAIN YOU CAN CONNECT IT EASILY WITH IN A FEW CLICKS AND THAT IS SIMPLER THAN CREATING A NEW WEBSITE SO YOU ARE ABLE TO DO THAT EASILY.

With Bluehost you get a free domain for a year which is more than enough to get you started and get monetizing your blog.

For this example we are going to use the simple pet niche domain name ilovecatsanddoggs.com as a demo.

I would recommend choosing a “.com” domain as its more valuable if you decide to sell your website down the road.

NOTE :The Domain name is only free For 12 months if you buy hosting of 12 months Plan or more…

But It is okay to try other domain extensions it may sound awesome and more exciting for your potential visitors.

For our example we Have a domain name that is available and free for a year. So lets continue….

You have an option to sign in with a google account …or fill out the information below the page..

Bluehost pricing options

The Account Plan here is set to CA$3.92 a month for a 36 month term . You should check the price drop down list and choose the plan that suits your budget.

The shorter the Pricing plan the more you will have to pay.

The Checked boxes you should uncheck them because these are upsells which is the most annoying feature with Bluehost.

They always send promotional emails to your inbox or they have these boxes checked to have you spend more but sincerely some of these upsells are useless.

Feel free to read more on their official site about the importance of these features but i would recommend the domain privacy protection feature as it guarantees your domain privacy.

After This you are required to add your payment information and to some countries you are able to pay using Paypal.

The most important step of the sign up process is that the plan you choose here as you start your blog or website is the renewal plan you will have to use once you are renewing your plan.

The pricing will increase after the first term so Be aware of that. You can always contact support they will explain more about your renewal price.

Once you have all this set up and ready to go you will be presented to your back end and you will set up your website.

Install WordPress To Your Site

THE MOST CRUCIAL IMPORTANT STEPS

You should ensure that when you install wordpress you , uninstalll any plugins that you may not need because the least number of plugins you have the faster your website will load

I would recommend plugins like

  • Yoast SEO / Rank Math But Rank math is by far the best in my opinion
  • Optin monster.
  • Easy Table of Contents
  • Pretty Links
  • Wp Forms
  • Google site Kit (connects Google analytics and console directly to your website)
  • Word Fence

It is important to note that You shouldn’t run a lot of plugins on your website as it may slow it up.

It is important to have a fast and audience friendly website . These are all key factors and signs that Google looks at and will determine how they rank your website in the search results.

The Google site kit plugin will enable you have page speed insights directly in your dashboard show you improvements that are required and all the necessary insights as they happen on your site.

Finally ensure you have a site map in xml file and submit it to search engines like google to set up your site for indexing..

Your site map will ensure that Google gets to know about any updates you add to your site for example pages , posts and deleted posts / pages.

Ensure that your site has all The important pages which include The Disclaimer , Privacy Policy , Terms And Conditions , Contact us Page , About us page and Affiliate disclosures if you run any affiliate promotions on your site.

NOTE : With the recent updates and removal of the request indexing feature in the google search console , Pages and posts will usually take more time to appear in serps despite submitting your website sitemap to google.

FINDING TRAFFIC AND BUILDING BACKLINKS.

A new website such as the one you have just created will not rank for high competition keywords ..

so what is the way around this..no problem i am going to help you ..

For example let’s say our site is in the DIY niche and we would want to start writing articles for our blog .

We are going for low competition keywords ..

Head over to a site called answerthepublic.com and it should look like the one in the image below.

Image for post

Answerthepublic.com is a keyword database that you can use to find gold nuggets with low competition and low search volumes.

As a new website you can easily rank in the top 10 search results without even having backlinks..

This lovely smiling man will welcome so go ahead and enter a query similar to your niche website .

For example if you are in the pet niche you will enter keywords like “petfood’

“pet toys” , ‘dogs” ‘cats’ and so much more..

This will bring back keywords and content ideas to help you get started in most cases these keywords are queries asked over sites like Qoura , forums and social media.

These are the golden nuggets we should aim for and write as much content as possible about each of the keywords you researh

content ideas from answer the public

The site has limited queries but if you are interested in endless ideas you can upgrade to a paid option though you don’t need one..

The queries are presented in a semi circle of keywords and note that all theses keywords are long tail which means you have a high chance of ranking for these gold nuggets if you write long form content of about 2000+ words on each article you write.

the average site can rank for these keywords even without backlinks , If you write an high quality article and then rinse and repeat you will have a chance of generating backlinks .

Image for post

From now on words you have to just rinse and repeat and write about 30 articles in a spun of 3 months , you will see rankings and results.

If you write an article each 3 days and then continue with the same momentum for the first year you will gather backlinks and boost your rankings,

However results will depend on the effort you put in to write high quality long form articles longer than those in the top ten results in google..

Hope this article was helpful….enjoy and happy blogging hope to see your results in 2021….

DISCLAIMER: This article contains affiliate links if you purchase the hosting plans I will get a compensation and this adds on additional cost to you …but save you some money ..
