Pinterest is a great traffic source for your Teespring designs because the users on the platform are looking for inspiration and the only downside to this is that they may not be interested in buying your products as of yet.
Inside this guide, we shall give you a bonus tip at the end to help you even get sales using another platform that is better than Pinterest in organic reach. So please stick around till the end.

Sign Up for Teespring
To sign up for Teespring is pretty simple. Head over to Teespring.com and create your Free account using the options available.

- Email manual signup.
Choose one and create your free account. Once you are done it is time to complete your profile. Create a PayPal account using any of the emails you have available. Once you are done add it to your profile and then continue to complete your profile as you wish.
Once this is done we need to start making designs and possibly finding our niche or audience. This is important because we are going to be using Pinterest and not all audiences on the platform like whatever you are passionate about.
Here are some of the common niches on Pinterest.
- DIY
- Home and Gardening
- Cooking and Food
- Recipes.
- Workouts and weightloss.
- woodworking
- Quotes
- Memes & Jokes
- Motivation.
If you notice a pattern great for you. If you didn’t then I will explain.
Since we are making t-shirt designs it would make much sense if we make them about Quotes, Jokes, funny short puns, and other niches you think will work for Pinterest. Once you have your niche let’s find some inspiration for our own designs.
Find Designs For Inspiration & Creating Your Designs.
For this, we shall use a few other platforms similar or different from Teespring.
I am talking of…
- Etsy
- Famous stores you may know of in that niche
- Pinterest itself.
- Teespring as well.
Teespring has a marketplace you can look at and navigate using the search feature to find other creators in your niche. Similar to Pinterest you can use the search bar to find your “niche” + t-shirt
Here you should see a couple of designs in your niche. Look around and get inspired.
So that you have where you can start from. quotes are better than images because the majority of the famous and trending quotes are for public use and you are not reliable to copyright infringement.
Once you have your inspiration source selected, and you have a couple of designs you wish to replicate for yourself then we are ready to start creating.
ProTip: Avoid copyright infringement, if the quote is not a trending one or permanent and was solely created by another creator then don’t replicate it.
You can use it for inspiration and then make your own similar, much better, and even more catchy to get the attention of your customers.
Go and create your designs using the Teespring editor or you can import an image or template made outside of the platform. I recommend you use clear fonts visible to anyone even those that are at a far distance. Don’t use curly ext if you don’t need to.
Choose up to 2-3 other designs to accompany your main design and limit the colors to only 5 for all these designs the more options you give the customer they are less likely to choose as all may look good.
The price go with what you wish and please make it reasonable. we skipped some steps such as creating a store because those are straightforward and you can do them easily.

You can use many applications to help you get clean images that are copyright free and I have listed some below.
- Clipart
- pngtree
- Freepik
- Favpng
- Pixabay
Favpng has transparent ones and so you can use that if you are in need of a clean image for your design. Once you are done go and then find the necessary keywords we shall use for our Pinterest designs or Pins.
Finding Keywords To rank Your Designs on Google and Pinterest.
For this, we shall use a couple of other free tools, and worry less I have listed them as well below. This is the most important step and it will greatly impact your success over time.

- Pinterest keyword planner
- Pinterest search bar
- Google keyword planner.
- Pinterest Trends
- Google trends
- Reddit Trending feature.
- Youtube autosuggest.
Each of these tools has its benefits and disadvantages as well. The major downside is you don’t know how competitive the keyword is and the monthly volume as well.
If you want to make money much much quicker trends are the best way to profit quickly but this is not good as they don’t last for long. For example, people made money using the ” Black lives matter” movement rise.
The t-shirt designs on the sites were getting bought more than any other shirt at the time. If you had the better design you made money from people searching for the trend T-shirt. If you want to make money quick of course be ethical and don’t create hate quotes or violence-enticing quotes on your shirts.
It is your business and you are responsible for all designs you create. You own the full copyright rights to them. Once you have your Keywords ready let’s get those pins out there.
Sharing Your Designs To Pinterest.
Create a Pinterest Business Profile and customize it as usual. If you want help with all that watch the video about Pinterest attached above. You will see how your profile should look like. Some things are better seen on video than explained in writing.
Once you are done you should have a list of keywords to start you off for the pins on Pinterest. You should have got these keywords from the previous step using the keyword tools. I recommend the Google Keyword Planner.
Creating pins is easy and all you need to do is simply get a copy of the save button for Pinterest. This is very helpful in case you don’t want to rewrite Pin Titles and descriptions each time you pin.
This is a browser extension that allows you to pin images from any site including your storefront straight to Pinterest without manually doing it yourself.
It draws and pulls in the pins Title and Description from your Store page for that specific design. So always ensure that the title and description of your shirt are keyword rich if you are to go down that route.
You can download them and pin them manually if you feel you have the time to do so.
Publish and repeat for more designs. each day you should create at least 4 designs that are keyword rich and searchable. Each design should have a TikTok video as well as explained below.
Bonus
The bonus strategy I have for you if you stuck around till this moment is to use TikTok. You can create simple mobile videos using images of your designs add a call to action inside the video for the viewer to get the designs on your store.
You can copy the link to your store shorten it using bit.ly. And customize the end with your store name. Of course, you need a bitl.y account to do this.
You can watch the video I had attached at the top of the guide so you see a visual representation of this and how effective it is. In fact, you should put more effort into this because the reach on TikTok is great if you create watchable free ad-like videos.
